The essential first step in setting an intention is to set aside some time during the beginning of this year to take a look at and assess “what did not work”, and what you want to change in your life for this New Year.  Until you take an assessment of your past behavior patterns, you are likely to repeat the same behavior again and again.  I know in my own life, I always take the time to take inventory of my life during the 1^st month of the year.  Usually, I take some time away from everyone and spend some quiet time alone with God to get clear guidance for my life for the new year.  So, this is a quiet time between you and Spirit.  Some questions that you might ask yourself are:  What are some repeated patterns in your life?   What can you identify in your life that you want to change? What is the one area that you want to make a priority for change?   It might be that you find yourself choosing the same relationships, or that you have been making the same choices with money.  Be open and honest with yourself, as it only then that you can begin to become clear about what you desire.

Second, take a piece of paper and list the things that you do not want – That’s right….what you do not want!   When you are clear about what you do not want, you begin to get a real sense of what you truly desire.  When you have a clear understanding of what you don’t want – the light and insight of what you do want is crystal clear.  I recommend to my clients that they actually spend a day or two actually meditating on what they do not want which will make what they do desire crystal clear.

Third, once you are clear on what you do not want, you are now ready to write out what you do want.  Write your intentions in a clear, concise and detailed manner as possible.  Don’t hold back.  Think in unlimited possibilities.  The Universe is abundant and is opened to manifest all of your desires.   The more detailed and descriptive you make your intention, the faster your intention will manifest.  Remember, clarity is your key to success.

Fourth, write out how you can be begin to take small baby steps towards your intention on a daily basis.  I recommend to my clients to begin to with small steps that lead to big dreams.  For example, if you are beginning an exercise/healthy regiment, instead of joining a Gym, begin with possibly walking for just 5 minutes daily and increase it by 5 minutes each week.  Make your intention for 5 minutes, but if you feel up to exercising longer, then by all means keep going!!!!   Once you begin to see results, you will be motivated to keeping moving.  Design small baby steps and projects that will keep you consistently doing something daily towards your goal.  Dr. John DeMartini stated that your life would radically change if you would take one step daily towards your goal.  Make a phone call, send an email or just research info on the internet.  SMALL BABY STEPS LEAD TO LARGE DREAMS.

Fifth, take about 5 minutes per day living your intention from the answer or the end.  What does that mean?  It means to see yourself in your mind already having or doing the intention.  When you spend time deliberately seeing yourself already accomplishing intention, you will turbo-charge your intention, because all of your energy and feelings will be focused on what you truly desire.

Most importantly, don’t forget to include God or your higher power in accomplishing your intention.  Remember, God is the great dream maker.   Personally, this is the most important step.  Most people try to accomplish their goals without the power and aide of Spirit, and it never works.  Remember you are co-creators with God.   Spend time daily developing yourself spiritually.

Make a decision to make 2010 the beginning of some of the best years of your life.  Go for it!

Did you ever stop to think that you are a spiritual and mental broadcasting station and that messages are going out from you on a daily basis?   Even when you are asleep you are emitting messages out into the universe which create your future.  Of course you know, that everything moves in circles so that means that the messages which you are broadcasting will come back to you.

We are all broadcasting stations, whether or not we know it.  Your thoughts, feelings and emotions, faith and fears tend to make an imprint and shape your personal  environment.  In essence, you are constantly sending and receiving and creating your own reality.

Have you ever walked into a room a felt “that the vibes” were not right in that room.  You could sense something was wrong.  I guarantee you that there had been some negative, thinking or believing happening in that room before you entered it.  The reason is that we are all surrounded by our own mental atmosphere – which consist of what you have been continually thinking, feeling and believing.  Think of it, a person who is filled with anger, resentment and fear tunes in and picks up vibrations of failure.  Conversely, a person whose thoughts are filled with the ideas of success, who has faith and confidence will tune in to the successful thoughts around him — the thoughts of faith and optimism and happy expectancy.

Today, make a decision to begin to think on the affirmative side of life, or accentuates the positive and eliminate the negative.  In doing this you have made a decision that you are going to send out and receive only positive things into your lives.  Begin tuning your mind into the Divine mind of God.  Know that you draw into your own soul the essence of everything that is good, true and beautiful.  Begin to draw into your own mind the realization of the divine presence and the power of God until your whole being responds.  Begin to broadcast love, healing and peace to the whole world and it will return back to you.

How do we begin to change what we are sending out?

• Monitor your thinking.
• Expect only good to show up in your life
• Stay away from negative thinking people and events
• Monitor the time that you watch negative information on TV.
• Keep your thoughts and emotions only on what you desire to manifest in your life.
• Be grateful for what you have now, and for what you expect to happen.
• Deliberately tune in to the Divine Mind of God daily.

Words are creative. You create your life with your words. Actually, you prophesy your own future with your words. Sounds comes before sight. The law of attraction states that whatever you give your attention, energy and words to is what you create in your own life.

I know personally in my own life when I fell and fractured my foot earlier this year, I remembering sharing my story over and over again. I gave a detailed description of my pain, how difficult it was hopping around on one foot, and how frustrated I felt. One day as I was sitting in my bed, I remembered a great verse in the bible that states “You shall declare and decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you. At that moment, I changed what I was saying and began to speak health, because that is what I wanted to be established in my life.

Scientists have discovered that they can measure the vibrational level of words. They conducted a study where people would talk to their plants. They had two control groups. One group was told to speak positive words to their plants such as “you are such a beautiful plant. The 2nd group was instructed to speak negative words to their plants. The results were astounding. Both set of plants continued to received that same level of light and water. The plants whose owners spoke positive words to them seem to flourish, bloom and grow. The plants whose owners were told to speak negative words began to notice that their plants became stagnant, whither and some died. The Power of Words!

Of course, most of you know about the remarkable scientific discovery of. Dr. Masaru Emoto, a creative and visionary Japanese researcher. Dr. Emoto conducted a study on human consciousness and words on water. A photograph was taken of 2 glasses of water. Dr. Emoto had participants to speak negative words to one glass of water and positive words to the other glass. Before and after pictures were taken. An amazing discovery was revealed. The molecular structure of water was affected by human vibrational energy thoughts and words. The glass of water that had positive words spoken to it was more beautiful, glowing and clear. The glass of water that had negative words spoken to it changed from a clear form to distorted one. Your words are so power that they can change things. The bible states that Life and Death are in the power of the tongue,

So what have you been saying about your life? Have you been trying to use the law of attraction, but seem to be stuck? Maybe it’s the words that you have been speaking. I had one client who I was coaching, and she said – Constance, this law of attraction stuff works for everyone else but me. My reply to her was “she had created her world with her words, and was getting exactly what she had been saying.” As soon as she changed her words – her life changed.

Remember, your confession precedes your possession. You possess what you confess. Realization follows confession.
